Statement on the US attacks on Iran
June 24, 2025

The debate on whether the President of the United States had the legal right to launch this latest terror bombing of Iran is moot.

Since the Vietnam war, the War Powers Act has been circumvented by almost every President—Democrat and Republican alike. No president has been censured or removed from command of the military for side stepping the Constitution.

Trump has committed this country to war with Iran, joining in support of the genocidal Israeli war machine. Why did he do it? Our guess is that he is simply reusing a classic avoidance tactic, (probably perfected by the Romans) of starting a war to cover for troubles at home. In other words, another tool of the con-man.

Of course, it won't hurt the pocketbooks of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). It may also be viewed as a measure to gain control of a Military recently disturbed by Trump's illegal deployment of the National Guard in California, not to mention its use as a distraction from the tremendous uprising of the "No Kings" movement across the US.

We can only guess what was going through the mind of this deranged conman. But, we expect further disasters, waste of resources, economic hardships, and senseless slaughter, unless he and his cultists are removed from office. The power of the 1% must be severely throttled if we are to have peace at home and abroad.
