The Navy created CASREPs
So broken equipment
That impeded the mission
The chain would know
The culture of the Navy
Is to cover up problems
Like a mistress in the PI
Part of the deal
A CASREP gets the parts
To fix the equipment
So the ship can do
What the Navy expects
But a democracy that doesn't
Work anymore
Gets covered up
Like a bailout
The media hypnotizes
People to forget
And there's no CASREP
To fix politics
So government can do
What the people expect
