a military mythology (poem)
By Larry Kerschner
[Printer-Friendly Version]
mass murder deployed from a position of strength
preserving the peace by promising total destruction
Trident floating silos of death
when you want to murder millions of people find
a weapon that will not be destroyed by counter-weapons
focus on the weapons system but not on the human system
get rid of the idea of winning
with no bones left to bury who will be left to apologize
20 million degrees fahrenheit melts reality
no one will be left to say we are the last generation
no one will inhale the dust of the bodies into their nostrils
Dexter Gordon prophecized that in a nuclear war all men are cremated equal
the bomb doesn't just have the last word
the bomb ends the word
