Dan Priester, an active member of the Chicago chapter of VVAW, died Tuesday, February 24, 1998 from heart problems. Dan, an Army Vietnam vet, joined and became active during the Persian Gulf War. He worked on the homeless vets standdowns until his heart became too weak for him to participate. He hated war and never got over the Vietnam Syndrome (may we all stay infected). He will be missed.
