Internalize, Prioritize, Organize (poem)

By Lura Stephanie Gaiek

[Printer-Friendly Version]

Senators Boozman, Johanns, Burr, and Toomey,
May in fact all be looney.
The bipartisan veterans jobs corps bill,
Thanks to them has been rendered nil.
Excuse after excuse after excuse,
Eventually turns obstructionism into abuse.
With November quickly looming,
Voter's rights are experiencing pruning.
The choice seems to be clear,
For our veterans whom we hold so dear.
The longest war in our nation's history,
Origin still a mystery.
Weapons of mass destruction,
Or a tool of corruption?
Our president has a plan,
To end this dyspeptic war's span.
In Afghanistan it is conceivable,
But is peace truly achievable?
