Letter

(The following letter was written by a teacher of a class in which VVAW members had spoken.)

Dear VVAW,

I wanted to thank you again. You all had a tremendous impact. One student who was planning to enlist decided not to. They all wanted to talk about it and the military recruiters were shocked by the questions all my students asked.

The recruiters, of course, made it sound like a country club. One of my students said, "But really you train people to kill!" When I asked a student what he thought of you, he said "Oh, you're talking about those people who told the truth!!"

Keep up the struggle.
